Fresh Basket’s Donate a Basket program lets you directly support families in Washington, D.C. and nearby communities who are facing food insecurity. When you donate, we deliver a full basket of fresh, seasonal produce—just like the one you’d receive—to a local household in need. One basket equals one week of meals for one family. 

No shipping address needed—just your generosity. We’ll handle the rest.

Seasonal Note:

Fresh Basket operates during the local farmers market season. If you donate more weeks (baskets) than we can deliver within the remaining season—for example, purchasing 12 baskets with only 4 weeks left—we’ll make sure your remaining donation goes just as far. We’ll distribute those extra baskets to more families in need during the active season, ensuring your gift continues to nourish the community.
