Cafe Medrano Coffee

Grown at 4,500 feet in the highlands of Copán, Honduras, Café Medrano is a smooth, small-batch coffee with rich chocolate and caramel notes. This shade-grown Arabica is cultivated without pesticides on family-owned land that spans four generations and 150 acres.

The beans are washed and naturally dried on raised beds inside solar hoop houses—an old-world method that enhances flavor while respecting the environment. Directly sourced from the Medrano family’s own farms, this coffee offers an elevated, high-altitude profile that’s both bold and beautifully balanced.

Raul and Zenia Medrano founded Café Medrano in 2018 to share the rich coffee heritage of their family farm in Copán, Honduras. Longtime educators in the Washington, D.C. area, they bring the same passion for community, sustainability, and cultural pride to their work in coffee. Their commitment to quality is rooted in four generations of family farming and a shared belief in building stronger, more connected communities from crop to cup.
